Down the Rabbit Hole for Eckhart

Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) is in talks to join Nicole Kidman in the film version of the Broadway play "Rabbit Hole." The play tells the story of a married couple who lose their four-year-old son in a car accident and the redemptive journey they undertake to regain their happiness.

Big Names Head to Inception

The Dark Knight director Chris Nolan's next film, Inception, is getting some big names added to the cast. Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (pictured above), Cillian Murphy, and Ellen Page are joining Leonard DiCaprio in the film. The film is scheduled for release in July 2010.

Fox and Rourke Go Angelic

Megan Fox (Transformers) will play an angel opposite Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke in the film "Passion Plays." Rourke will play a down-on-his-heels trumpet player and Fox will play an angel in 1950s Los Angeles. Rourke finds redemption in Fox after he attempts to save her from a gangster.

Basterds at Cannes

Quentin Tarantino's new film "Ingloorious Basterds" starring Brad Pitt will compete in France's Cannes Film Festival. The film tells the story of a band of Jewish-American soldiers whose mission is to take down a group of Nazis. US audiences can see the film for themselves August 21st.

Carell Gets Dumped

The Office star Steve Carell has signed on to star in Dumped. The comedy will show Carell looking for love after an abrupt divorce.

Arnett, Shannon Join Hex

Will Arnett and Michael Shannon are joining the cast of Jonah Hex. They join Josh Brolin, John Malkovich, and Megan Fox. Jonah Hex tells the story of a DC Comics "superhero" who is a bounty hunter and wants to raise an army of the undead to liberate the South.

Howard Joins Terminator

Bryce Dallas Howard, daughter of Ron Howard, is joining Christian Bale in the cast of the new Terminator trilogy.

Glad to see she's not working in another M. Night Shyamalan picture.

Sex and the City Takes the Country

Sex and the City has become the biggest R-rated comedy ever with an opening weekend of $55.7 million. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull dropped to second still taking in about $46 million bringing it over the $200 million mark.

I loved the Sex and the City movie. All the girls were good. Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall were easily the best. I expect a sequel.

Middle Earth for McAvoy

British actor James McAvoy is in talks to play Bilbo Baggins in the film adaptation of The Hobbit. Ian McKellan will reprise his role as Gandalf the Grey. Shooting is expected to start this year.

So nice to not see Elijah Wood.

McGregor Signs on for Biopic

Ewan McGregor is joining the cast of Amelia. The biopic will chronicle the life of legendary aviatrix Amelia Earhart. Oscar winner Hilary Swank will star as Earhart and Richard Gere and Virginia Madsen are also set to appear.

McGregor will shoot this film before joining the cast of Ron Howard's Angels and Demons, the prequel to The Da Vinci Code.

Indy Rules Memorial Day

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had a great debut taking in $126 million domestically and $143 million internationally. That's a $269 million total. The movie performed quite well but it was expected to break the record held by last year's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

Indy was good. Not as good as the original three. I hate aliens.

Hannah Montana is Coming

Miley Cyrus is back in action. Filming has begun on Hannah Montana: The Movie. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in Spring 2009.

It's gonna be big!

Dick Cheney Cast

Richard Dreyfuss has been cast as Vice President Dick Cheney in Oliver Stone's W. The film also stars Josh Brolin as President George W. Bush and Thandie Newton as Condoleezza Rice.

Narnia Dethrones Iron Man

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian dethroned box office champ Iron Man by taking in about $56 million this weekend.

Next week, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is supposed to rake in major money.

Iron Man was great. Love to check our Narnia soon. Definitely will see Indiana Jones.

Cruise and Washington

Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise may star together for the first time in the political thriller The 28th Amendment. Cruise is in final talks to play the President of the United States, who learns that a secret society led by Denzel runs the country.

Tom may be crazy in reality, but for the most part he's a good actor.

Goosebumps

Columbia Pictures has acquired the rights to adapt Scholastic's popular children's book series Goosebumps into a major motion picture. The series was started by R. L. Stine and spawned a popular children's tv show in the 1990s.

Long Time Gone

Christina Ricci, Angelica Huston, Josh Lucas, and Justin Bartha have signed on for the film Long Time Gone based on the 1994 novel Angel, Angel by April Stevens. The film is about a dysfunctional family that is turned upside down by a mysterious woman (Ricci).

Chenoweth to Play Prostitute

Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies, The West Wing, Broadway's Wicked) will star alongside Jeremy Sisto in Into Temptation. Chenoweth will play suicidal prostitute who confesses to a priest her plans to end her life.

Greek Reunion

My Big Fat Greek Wedding stars Nia Vardalos and John Corbett (also from Sex and the City) will reunite to star in the romantic comedy I Hate Valentine's Day. The film was written and will be directed by Nia Vardalos.

Fahrenheit Sequel Coming

Michael Moore is making a sequel to the 2004 blockbuster Fahrenheit 9/11. The film will pick up where the last film left off with President Bush's plummeting ratings and the failing Iraq war and downfall of the economy. The film is set to be released in 2009.
