Rob Zombie's reimagining of Halloween broke records to become the highest Friday ever for Labor Day weekend according to Variety. The film took in roughly $11 million on Friday and is expected to be the number 1 movie this weekend.

New at the movies is Rob Zombie's reimagining of John Carpenter's slasher Halloween. So far, critics at Rotten Tomatoes are not loving this remake. The movie is currently at 22% with 4 fresh and 15 rotten. Critics tend to not like slasher flicks to begin with so who knows. The trailer most definitely looks interesting.
