The Green Room highly recommends Tim Burton's new film, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Johnny Depp. Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen also star in the Stephen Sondheim penned movie musical. The movie opened to overwhelmingly positive reviews.

The new Johnny Depp/Tim Burton movie musical Sweeney Todd will have a wide release on December 21st, 2007. Dreamworks's initial plan for the film was to have a limited release on December 21st and then a wider release in January of 2008. This dark Stephen Sondheim musical tells the story of the demon barber of Fleet Street and is expected to receive an R rating.
