The Vermont state legislature has just legalized gay marriage and overturned the veto by their Governor. Vermont joins Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Iowa in allowing same-sex marriage. Full story here.

Iowa Moves Towards Gay Marriage

The Iowa Supreme Court has struck down a state law that bans same-sex marriage. Iowa is now the third state in the nation, along with Massachusetts and Connecticut, to allow same-sex marriage. Full story here.

With the ban on gay marriage in California lifted, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and actress Portia De Rossi have revealed plans to marry.

Gay Marriage in California

California's ban on gay marriage was struck down by the state's supreme court. California and Massachusetts are the only two states that allow this union.

Definitely a step in the right direction towards equality. You know a lot of hateful people are going to be pissed over this.

Earlier today we wrote here how Iowa would allow gay marriages. Not the case anymore. Now, gay marriages in Iowa has been halted until the state Supreme Court hears an appeal. And the country continues to move backwards. For more on this story, click here.

Iowa Allows Gay Marriage
