High School Musical star Lucas Grabeel will have a role in the upcoming Harvey Milk biopic alongside Sean Penn and James Franco. Harvey Milk was a slain San Francisco gay activist and politician.

Hudson Keeps It Comin


Jennifer Hudson is all work these days with yet another movie lined up. The Oscar winner will join the cast of Tyler Perry's the Family That Preys. The film centers on two families on different sides of the tracks that become intimately involved in love and business. Also appearing will be Alfre Woodard, Sanaa Lathan, and Kathy Bates.

Efron and Orson


Before Zac Efron gears up to film the third installment of High School Musical, he will star in Me and Orson Welles. The film is set in 1937 and centers around a high schooler who comes across the Mercury Theater in New York and is noticed by the theater owner, Orson Welles. This leads to the boy being cast as a bit part in "Julius Caesar," which catapulted Welles to stardom. The story is based on a novel.

It was said that Mitt Romney would be done if he didn't succeed in Michigan. Luckily for him, Mitt Romney succeeded in beating Senator John McCain tonight in Michigan. Mike Huckabee (who must be stopped) finished in third.

As excited as I am that Senator Hillary Clinton won Michigan, it's a pretty pointless victory because Michigan's delegates will not count toward the Democratic primary and also Senator Barack Obama and John Edwards were not on the Michigan ballot. Nonetheless, GO HILLARY!

Pollspot: Nevada

The latest Reno Gazette-Journal poll in Nevada shows a very close Democratic presidential race with Sen. Barack Obama leading with 32% support, followed by Sen. Hillary Clinton at 30% and John Edwards at 27%.

In the mostly-ignored Republican race, Sen. John McCain leads with 22%, followed by Rudy Giuliani at 18%, Mike Huckabee at 16%, Mitt Romney at 15%, and Fred Thompson at 11%.

FOX has a big success on their hands with the debut of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The show had the biggest opening night demographic ratings of any show in the last three years. Over 18 million viewers tuned in.

Pollspot: National Spotlight

Not that you can trust polls as much as you could before New Hampshire and not that national polls matter that much but As the latest CNN/Opinion Research survey finds the results of the Iowa and New Hampshire have impacted the national standings of the candidates.

For Republicans, Sen. John McCain has rocketed into the lead with 34% support, followed by Mike Huckabee at 21%, Rudy Giuliani at 18% and Mitt Romney at 14%.

For Democrats, Sen. Hillary Clinton still leads with 49%, followed by Sen. Barack Obama at 36% and John Edwards falling to 12%.

New York:
A new SurveyUSA poll shows that Rudy Giuliani is in a tight fight with Sen. John McCain for Republican primary voters in his home state of New York. Giuliani edges McCain, 32% to 29%, and Mike Huckabee is third at 12%.

Among Democrats, a SurveyUSA poll finds Sen. Hillary Clinton way ahead of her rivals with 56% support, followed by Sen. Barack Obama at 29% and John Edwards at 8%.

The New York primary is February 5th.

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale will make her feature film debut in the adventure comedy They Come From Upstairs. The script revolves around a group of teens who team up to defend their Maine vacation home from aliens who have invaded via the upstairs. Doesn't really sound like a winner.

Biel has an Easy Virtue


Jessica Biel has been cast as the lead in the romantic comedy Easy Virtue. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Biel plays an American divorcee who travels to the South of France and marries a young Englishman, played by Ben Barnes, on the spur of the moment. The couple return to England to face his family, including his parents, played by Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas.

The Hill is reporting that Sen. Hillary Clinton has outraised Sen. Barack Obama in the fourth quarter of 2007. Her national campaign chairman guarantees that she will overtake Obama in funds raised this month despite an early deficit."Clinton raised $24 million in primary funds in the fourth quarter and has added $3 million this month," while Obama "raised $23.5 million during the quarter, all but $1 million of which was for the primary."

A new Insider Advantage poll in South Carolina finds Sen. Barack Obama leading the Democratic race with 40%, followed by Sen. Hillary Clinton at 33% and John Edwards at 15%.

On the Republican side, Mike Huckabee leads with 33%, followed by Sen. John McCain at 21%, Mitt Romney at 14% and Rudy Giuliani at 8%.

While the Associated Press is reporting that New Mexico Democratic Governor Bill Richardson has dropped out of the presidential race following two fourth-place finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire, his campaign is denying that he has dropped out.

Obama Gets Nevada Unions


Some good news for Senator Barack Obama after an upset by Senator Hillary Clinton last night in New Hampshire. ABC News is reporting that Sen. Barack Obama has secured the endorsement of the Culinary Workers union in Nevada. "The endorsement of the 60,000-member Culinary Workers union is seen as the biggest get in Nevada, a state which votes Jan. 19." Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Sun reports that Obama also has won the backing of the Service Employees International Union Nevada last night.

Senator John McCain has won the Republican New Hampshire primary. This is a crushing blow to Mitt Romney who has now lost twice.

Teen pregnancy film Juno won two awards at the Critic's Choice Awards. The film won best comedy and best screenwriting for Diablo Cody. Juno stars Ellen Page, Jennifer Garner, and Michael Cera. We recommend this film.

Blonsky Wins


Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky won the Best Young Actress award at the Critic's Choice Awards. The Hairspray cast also picked up best acting ensemble. Hairspray was Blonsky's first film and she also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her performance. Congratulations!

Dr. Phil has cancelled an episode of his show that was to serve as an intervention for Britney Spears involving her family.

Pollspot: Deadlocked in New Hampshire

Two new polls show Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in a deadlock in New Hampshire.

A new CNN/WMUR poll shows Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama tied at 33% with John Edwards in third place with 20%. On the Republican side, Sen. John McCain leads with 33%, followed by Mitt Romney at 27%, Rudy Giuliani at 14% and Mike Huckabee at 11%.

Also...

A new Concord Monitor/Research 2000 poll in shows Sen. Barack Obama edging Sen. Hillary Clinton among likely Democratic primary voters, 34% to 33%, with John Edwards third at 23%. Among Republicans, Sen. John McCain leads with 35%, followed by Mitt Romney at 29% and Mike Huckabee at 13%.

Mitt Romney Wins Wyoming

Although all the focus goes to Iowa and New Hampshire, Wyoming is holding it's Republican primary today and Mitt Romney looks set to come out on top with Iowa caucus winner Mike Huckabee not faring so well. For live results, click here.

Back to Back Debates Tonight


The Democratic and Republican presidential candidates will have back to back debates tonight on ABC at 7 PM EST. The Republicans will debate first for an hour an half before the Democrats taking the stage. Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Barack Obama, John Edwards, Governor Bill Richardson, Mike Huckabee, Senator John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani are all expected to attend. This is a crucial debate for Hillary Clinton. The Green Room wishes her the best.

Pollspot: Obama Gets Bump

A new Rasmussen Reports survey in New Hampshire shows Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. Hillary Clinton, 37% to 27%, in next week's primary. John Edwards is third with 19%, followed by Gov. Bill Richardson has 8%. This is not good news for the Clinton campaign.

I'm not losing hope. I still believe Hillary Clinton can overtake the inexperienced Barack Obama, who is low about policy and all about message and ambition.

Pollspot: Between Iowa

A new 7NEWS/Suffolk University two-day tracking poll shows Sen. Barack Obama cutting into Sen. Hillary Clinton's lead in New Hampshire. However, the first half of this survey was taken on Thursday before Senator Obama won the Iowa Caucus. The rest of the survey was completed on Friday. Clinton now leads with 36%, followed by Obama at 29% and John Edwards at 13%.

Britney's Visitation Suspended


After a standoff with police and a rush to the hospital, Britney Spears's visitation rights have been suspended until January 14th. Afterward, there will be a hearing on what happens next. For now, Kevin Federline has sole custody of the couple's two children.

Zoey Cancelled


Jamie Lynn Spears's, Britney Spears's pregnant teenage sister, Nickelodeon tv show Zoey 101 has been cancelled amidst the pregnancy scandal. Spears taped the fourth season of the show but the network is unsure whether or not to air the final season.

Unfortunately, due to Senator Barack Obama's annoying victory in last night's Iowa Caucus, these decent poll numbers for Senator Hillary Clinton may not be so good when a post-caucus poll is taken.

New Bond Girl Cast


British actress Gemma Arterton will be the next Bond girl alongside Daniel Craig. This will be the 22nd James Bond film and it will pick up right after the events of 2006's Casino Royale.

Actors Will Not Attend Globes

The Screen Actor's Guild announced today none of it's actors/members would be present at the Golden Globe Awards due to the strike of the Writer's Guild of America. NBC said the award telecast would go on as planned next Sunday.
