A new USA Today/Gallup poll shows Mike Huckabee in the lead in the Republican presidential race with 25%, followed by Rudy Giuliani at 20%, Sen. John McCain at 19%, Fred Thompson at 12%, and Mitt Romney at 9%.

Among Democrats, Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton are tied at 33%, followed by John Edwards at 20%.

Golden Globes Cancelled

Finally, after all the updates, NBC has decided to CANCEL the Golden Globe Awards broadcast this coming Sunday.

Pollspot: Too Many To Show

There are way too many polls to show. Anyways, I will say that, according to these polls, it looks like Senator Barack Obama will beat Senator Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire tomorrow. Of course I hope I'm wrong, though I doubt it. It also looks like a tight race between Senator John McCain and Mitt Romney.

Don't count Hillary out yet.

Pollspot: Deadlocked in New Hampshire

Two new polls show Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in a deadlock in New Hampshire.

A new CNN/WMUR poll shows Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama tied at 33% with John Edwards in third place with 20%. On the Republican side, Sen. John McCain leads with 33%, followed by Mitt Romney at 27%, Rudy Giuliani at 14% and Mike Huckabee at 11%.

Also...

A new Concord Monitor/Research 2000 poll in shows Sen. Barack Obama edging Sen. Hillary Clinton among likely Democratic primary voters, 34% to 33%, with John Edwards third at 23%. Among Republicans, Sen. John McCain leads with 35%, followed by Mitt Romney at 29% and Mike Huckabee at 13%.

Mitt Romney Wins Wyoming

Although all the focus goes to Iowa and New Hampshire, Wyoming is holding it's Republican primary today and Mitt Romney looks set to come out on top with Iowa caucus winner Mike Huckabee not faring so well. For live results, click here.

Back to Back Debates Tonight

The Democratic and Republican presidential candidates will have back to back debates tonight on ABC at 7 PM EST. The Republicans will debate first for an hour an half before the Democrats taking the stage. Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Barack Obama, John Edwards, Governor Bill Richardson, Mike Huckabee, Senator John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani are all expected to attend. This is a crucial debate for Hillary Clinton. The Green Room wishes her the best.

Britney Out of the Hospital

Britney Spears has left the hospital less than two days after being admitted.

Pollspot: Obama Gets Bump

A new Rasmussen Reports survey in New Hampshire shows Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. Hillary Clinton, 37% to 27%, in next week's primary. John Edwards is third with 19%, followed by Gov. Bill Richardson has 8%. This is not good news for the Clinton campaign.

I'm not losing hope. I still believe Hillary Clinton can overtake the inexperienced Barack Obama, who is low about policy and all about message and ambition.

Pollspot: Between Iowa

A new 7NEWS/Suffolk University two-day tracking poll shows Sen. Barack Obama cutting into Sen. Hillary Clinton's lead in New Hampshire. However, the first half of this survey was taken on Thursday before Senator Obama won the Iowa Caucus. The rest of the survey was completed on Friday. Clinton now leads with 36%, followed by Obama at 29% and John Edwards at 13%.

Britney's Visitation Suspended

After a standoff with police and a rush to the hospital, Britney Spears's visitation rights have been suspended until January 14th. Afterward, there will be a hearing on what happens next. For now, Kevin Federline has sole custody of the couple's two children.

Zoey Cancelled

Jamie Lynn Spears's, Britney Spears's pregnant teenage sister, Nickelodeon tv show Zoey 101 has been cancelled amidst the pregnancy scandal. Spears taped the fourth season of the show but the network is unsure whether or not to air the final season.

Pollspot: On To New Hampshire

Unfortunately, due to Senator Barack Obama's annoying victory in last night's Iowa Caucus, these decent poll numbers for Senator Hillary Clinton may not be so good when a post-caucus poll is taken.

Democrats:
Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby: Clinton 32%, Obama 26%, Edwards 20%
7NEWS/Suffolk University: Clinton 37%, Obama 25%, Edwards 15%
American Research Group: Clinton 35%, Obama 31%, Edwards 15%

As for Republicans, it is a toss up between Senator John McCain and former governor Mitt Romney.

Republicans:
Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby: McCain 34%, Romney 30%, Huckabee 10%
7NEWS/Suffolk University: Romney 29%, McCain 25%, Huckabee 13%
American Research Group: McCain 35%, Romney 25%, Huckabee 12%

The New Hampshire primary is this Tuesday.

Barack Obama Gains Momentum as Change Wins Out in Iowa

You know, they said this day would never come. They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided, too disillusioned to ever come together around a common purpose.

But on this January night, at this defining moment in history, you have done what the cynics said we couldn't do.

Those words could not be more true. It was this defining speech by Democratic Presidential candidate, Barack Obama, following his victory in the Iowa caucuses last night, that proved change is on its way. The Senator came out in the lead with 38%, followed by 30% for John Edwards, and 29% for third place finisher, Hillary Clinton.

The race remained close throughout the night up until Obama pulled forward towards the end with a first place position. The momentum is there and you better believe it will be a big part of what determines the vote in New Hampshire. From last nights' survey polls, voters found that the most important personal quality a candidate should have was bringing about needed change, in which Obama fit the bill.

What's next? New Hampshire. A whole new ball game, yet one that will surely be the focus of Hillary Clinton as she will desperately try to stop Obama in his tracks. The upcoming debate in New Hampshire this Saturday will be crucial, with the primary only four days away. Independent voters came out strong in supporting Obama in Iowa. Can they do the same in New Hampshire? John McCain's ability to gain many of those independents cannot be brushed aside too quickly either. Only time will tell.

Things are starting to heat up and anything can happen in the next few days. As an Obama supporter, I am thrilled with the results in Iowa and, as Barack said, New Hampshire can do the same. We all can. We can bring about real change. Change we can believe in.

But will the actors show up? Probably not.

Pollspot: Republican National

Sen. John McCain leads a national Rasmussen tracking poll for the Republican presidential nomination. However, his lead of 17% is not statistically significant since his rivals are all within the poll's margin of error. Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee are a point behind at 16% and Rudy Giuliani is two points back at 15%. Slightly off the pace, but still within five points of McCain, is Fred Thompson at 12%. This would make it a 5-way tie.

Among Democrats, Sen. Hillary Clinton leads with 31% followed by Sen. Barack Obama at 27% and John Edwards at 21%. The poll has a margin of error of 4 points.

Key finding: Clinton has dropped 7 points in two weeks while Edwards has gained 6 points and Obama has gained 3 points. Undeclared voters provide positive playback for Edwards based on his television advertising running in New Hampshire and this is reflected in the ballot results. Edwards now leads Obama among undeclared voters 38% to 23%.

In the Republican race, Mitt Romney and Sen. John McCain remain tied at 30%, followed by Mike Huckabee at 11%, Rudy Giuliani at 9% and Rep. Ron Paul at 7%.

Confusion Surrounding Bhutto's Death

Controversy continues to build around the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Today, Pakistan's Interior Ministry says that Bhutto was killed when she fractured her skull when she hit her head on her car's sunroof after a bomb exploded. Yesterday, the Ministry said she was killed due to shots from the bomber before changing their story and saying Bhutto was killed due to a shrapnel injury from the bomb. The story keeps changing and Pakistani President Musharraf's administration is losing its already low credibility. Bhutto went on record before her death stating that if she were to be assassinated that Musharraf would be to blame. Also noteworthy is the lack of security surrounding Bhutto at the time of her death. Meanwhile, Al-Qaeda may also have had some involvement in her death. For more on this story, click here.

Pollspot: No Budge in Iowa

Another poll still shows an extremely close race in Iowa.

A new Research 2000 poll in Iowa shows the Democratic presidential race is a virtual three-way tie, with John Edwards rising to tie Sen. Barack Obama for the lead and Sen. Hillary Clinton just one point behind. Edwards and Obama each get 29% support, with Clinton behind with 28%.

On the Republican side, Mike Huckabee remains in the lead with a 7-point edge over Mitt Romney, 34% to 27%. Fred Thompson is a distant third with 11%, followed by a three-way tie for fourth between Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Ron Paul, with 8% each.

Key finding: "There is plenty of room for shifts in the final days before the Jan. 3 caucuses, with 19 percent of Democrats and 31 percent of Republicans saying they are likely or very likely to change their minds."

Image courtesy of The Boston Globe

A new Boston Globe poll released today shows Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton virtually tied in New Hampshire. Obama leads Clinton 30 - 28%. However that is within the polls margin of error of +/- 5 points. On the Republican side, John McCain also appears to be closing in and tying former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. It could be all over for Romney if he loses Iowa to Mike Huckabee and New Hamsphire to John McCain.
